You bet that is a possibility. LetÕs be prepared. SAVE the 27th of Oct. from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be an emergency drill at 1247 Los Trancos Rd., the HunnerÕs house. We will do a simulation of an emergency and practice for the real thing. District Emergency Reps need to be there and at least 3 other members of that District. Zoning Committee News

The new LTWCA Zoning Committee held its first meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 9, Ô01, to determine the appropriateness of rezoning. Our aim is to strike balanced proposals that would limit over-building in the Woods, but would not constrict many of us who would like to develop our properties. We are reviewing current septic conditions, the introduction of sewers, geotechnical constraints, water availability, and other issues to see how they relate to zoning.

The next meeting will be held on Nov. 13, Ô01 at 7:00 pm at 159 Ramona Road. Generally the meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month. Anyone who would like to take part is welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please call Armin Staprans at 851-7403.

County Elections Office needs YOU!

The San Mateo County Elections Department is looking for Election Officers (poll workers) to serve in your community. The requirements are simple. You must be: 1) registered to vote in San Mateo Co., 2) fluent in English, and 3) available to work from 6 am - 9 pm on Election Day.

Behind every election are thousands of people who ensure a smooth and proper operation at polling places. The County Elections Department recruits and trains over 2,000 Election Officers, but with today's busy schedules, it is increasingly difficult to find poll workers for Election Day. Serving in a neighborhood polling place gets you a first-hand look at the voting process in San Mateo County. And it is a great chance to see/meet your neighbors. It pays! Entry-level pay is $105. Please call 650.286.2810 or visit www.shapethefuture.org Thank you for serving your neighborhood!
